In this sense, the Paraguayan Ministry of Health makes recommendations to avoid bad times and make the travel experience enriching.

First of all, to travel abroad, it is recommended to inform yourself about the risks of the area or destination you plan to go to.

The entry requirements to the place or destination you will visit, as well as the required vaccines, are established by each country. We recommend visiting the website of the Ministry of Health of the country you will visit to learn about these requirements.

If you have chronic diseases, get a check-up and make sure you have an updated vaccination schedule to be protected against diseases. Do not forget that the Yellow Fever vaccine is mandatory to travel to risk areas: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Venezuela.

It is recommended to be vaccinated against measles since there are confirmed cases of the disease in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Canada and other countries. Travelers must have both doses of the measles vaccine to travel to these countries.

Another requirement is the International Vaccination Certificate, a mandatory document for national and foreign travelers coming from or going to risk areas.

The International Vaccination Certificate is presented when entering and leaving the country and is required at immigration, land, river and airport checkpoints.

The issuance of the International Vaccination Certificate is carried out from the country's regional hospitals and does not require visa or authentication.

On the other hand, we inform about the current health requirements for entering Paraguay, established by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare through its latest update.

With respect to the vaccine against Covid-19, as of October 24, 2022, the entry protocol into the country of 06/02/22 is void, which is why the presentation of the vaccination card or the Test is no longer required. RT-PCR for entry to Paraguay.

However, through SG Resolution No. 040/2022, the Ministry of Health establishes that every traveler, national or foreign, who comes from risk areas: Brazil, Bolivia, Peru and Venezuela, must be vaccinated against Yellow Fever and have with the International Vaccination Certificate that certifies it.
