Within the framework of the International Day of People with Disabilities, the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) and CAF - development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean - held the Inclusive Tourism Forum “No barriers, no excuses!”, which presented the importance of accessibility in the sector and awarded various organizations for their inclusion policies.
At this event, the Carrasco International Airport was recognized by the Mintur Tourist Accessibility Group for its good practices in the development of accessibility solutions that contribute to guaranteeing a safe and quality experience for all travelers, workers and the public. visitor.

Carrasco Airport's commitment to innovation as a tool to continually improve its services and offer easy access to all people was also recognized in 2023 by Airports Council International (ACI), a non-profit organization that represents the airports of the world.
By obtaining the first level of accreditation in the ACI Accessibility Improvement program, the airport became the first in Latin America with certified accessibility, highlighting its corporate commitment to inclusion through its strategy, policies and implementations.
The integration actions applied are in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the resolution of the 2019 ACI Annual General Assembly and international best practices and recommendations.
