After several days of competitions, tourist tours and a grand opening ceremony where all the delegations paraded with the presence of different relevant personalities of the country and none other than the company of the President of the Nation Javier Milei, the 15th edition culminates of the Pan American Maccabee Games.

Argentina remains at a general level with 32 gold medals, 29 silver and 27 bronze, obtaining the No. 1 position in the ranking among 22 participating countries. Our country stood out in team sports such as soccer, futsal, basketball and also in individual sports such as tennis and paddle, among others, since they are disciplines with many categories by age group.

“We form a very good work group, where there is a lot of professionalism and a lot of love for what is done, it is the only way for this to work. I hope that everyone leaves inspired, that they have strengthened their Jewish identity, their commitment to society and that we can understand that we are part of a whole; that individually it is very difficult and that we make the difference by working together,” said Ariel Isaak, President of the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Maccabee Games.

“This event would not have been the same without Israel. Before October 7 there were 180 participants, on October 8 no one would come and finally almost 80 people ended up attending, with incredible conviction and faith. They not only came to play sports, but to transmit a tremendous and impactful life experience. It was demonstrated that it is an event, where sport is important, because it is clear that it is a competition, but everything that surrounds it gives it incredible added value,” added Isaak.

The Hacoaj Nautical Club (Tiger headquarters), the Sociedad Hebraica Argentina (Pilar headquarters) and the Cissab (located in the town of Tristán Suárez), were the settings where all the athletes and their families shared sport, Maccabean values and construction. of an institutional and cultural legacy. They competed from all over the world in Basketball, Futsal, Soccer, Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Golf, Handball, Hockey, Macabi Man/woman, Macabi Run (Triathlon, running, open water), Cycling, Swimming, Netball, Paddle, Pickleball, Softball, Tennis, Table tennis, Volleyball and Beach volleyball.

The Maccabeadas are an event of national interest that seeks to promote the comprehensive development of the Jewish community and its culture. On this occasion, it was an unforgettable event for both the Argentine delegation and all the delegations from the rest of the world since it was carried out in a difficult context and the resilience of the Jewish people with the participation of athletes from the affected areas, both survivors of the terrorist attacks as people who were kidnapped. In addition, a positive impact was generated for the country with an approximate expenditure of 30,000,000 dollars between tourism, organization and production of the games.
