At the event, the ambassador of Italy in the Dominican Republic, Stefano Queirolo Palmas, highlighted the importance, dissemination and benefits of Italian products and cuisine, one of the symbols of Made in Italy.

On board the ship were representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dominican government, as well as representatives of the military authorities.

The setting for the event took place inside the port of San Soucí, in the bay of Santo Domingo.

Costa's fleet, made up of ten ships in service, all of them flying the Italian flag, "is the bearer of Italy's values ​​in the world and represents the Bel Paese where Costa ships stop, as an authentic Italian embassy."
