For runners on vacation in Florida, the Space Race is back! The 2024 edition of the Space Race 3K Walk/Run will be held on January 19 and will benefit the United Way of Brevard.
The 3-kilometer race will take place at the NASA Visitor Complex at Cape Canaveral, near Orlando. It doesn't matter if the idea is to run or just walk, the important thing is to participate and help others.
Participants will be able to enjoy the panorama, and get to know one of the most notable places in the complex: the Rocket Garden, an outdoor exhibition of several historical rockets, life-size!
And if the experience itself wasn't incredible enough, here's another incentive that will make it even more special: the winners of each category will receive the prize from a veteran NASA astronaut! Running Zone is responsible for timing and scoring the race, with categories separated by age groups. At the end of the race, participants will be able to enjoy a party in the Rocket Garden.
