Valiant Lady cruise ship makes inaugural call to Antigua coast

The shores of St. John's Antigua vibrated with anticipation as the sophisticated "Valiant Lady" made her maiden visit to the paradise twin island state

The Minister of Tourism, the Honorable Charles Fernandez, the Executive Director of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin C. James, along with representatives of the Antigua Cruise Port and the ship's agent, Bryson's Shipping, welcomed Virgin Voyage Cruise Line.

A plaque exchange ceremony was held and the Minister of Tourism, the Honorable Charles Fernández, welcomed the Virgin Voyage cruise line to our island and expressed how happy he was that after previous negotiations we can finally give them the welcome and celebrate this achievement of having Virgin Voyages making 5 calls to our shores this season.

Captain Justin Lawes brought 2,400 visitors and 1,000 crew to our beautiful paradise and praised the smooth sailing to Antigua and the hospitality of the port operations staff.

The Valiant Lady is an adults-only cruise homeported in Puerto Rico and will depart from Redcliffe Quay Pier at 10 pm with a late departure time from Antigua, offering ample business opportunities for interested parties within St. John's .
