Between January 24 and 28, Visit Buenos Aires participated in FITUR, represented by its president, Valentín Díaz Gilligan, who was accompanied by the executive director, Karina Perticone, the promotion and communication director Fernando Amer and the planning director Dolores Voget.
The Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes and Cafes (AHRCC), the Argentine Hotel Association (AHT), the Association of Travel Agencies of Buenos Aires (AVIABUE), and the Convention Bureau of the city of Buenos Aires,
also participated of the meetings and commercial actions that took place within the framework of the fair.
The work agenda included meetings with Spanish tour operators, who were presented with the city's tourism offering and the latest developments it has in the areas of culture, sports and gastronomy. Among them,
the Nuba company, the Pangea tour operator, and the Catai tour operator, which is part of the Avoris group, stand out. Meetings were also held with Viajes
El Corte Inglés and the executive director of the CVC group.
In addition to these meetings with the local trade, they held meetings with the airlines Air Europa and Level, and institutional meetings and events were held that included the Inter-American Development Bank, the
World Tourism Organization, the World Travel and Tourism Council and the World Federation of Tourist Cities.
The destination presentations included participation as a sponsor of the event organized by Expolagos 2024, on January 23, and the activation carried out at the Iberia stand at the fair, within the framework of the renewal, for the third consecutive
year, of the campaign cooperated with this airline. This event included a brief tango show and a cocktail with Buenos Aires dishes.
In conjunction with the authorities of Madrid Destino and within the framework of the agreement that both cities renew annually, a meeting took place to outline the cooperation actions to be developed this year.
