How have these days been at Fitur and what are the new things you are preparing for this year?
It has been very productive, many important actors have come from Europe, Latin America and North America, and the activity has been higher than what we saw in the years of COVID recovery, so we are back to total normality. Business continues to flow quite well. 2023 was a very good year for all our hotels and 2024 continues with the same trend, we are happy and trying to improve to give greater satisfaction to guests, who are the ones who will allow us to continue this trend. We can never sit idly by and rest on our laurels, we continue working to do better and to provide better services.
How is the year going for you? What news can be anticipated?
This year we are continuing with our growth, which has represented us in the last 12 years. We are opening the Royalton CHIC Antigua. We are renovating Royalton Punta Cana, Highton Punta Cana. And in the case of the Dominican Republic, we are renovating Royalton Riviera Cancún and Hideway Riviera Cancún in Mexico. We are also immersed in the construction of Royalton CHICE in Barbados, which will open in April 2024. In addition, Royalton CHIC Antigua will be our second hotel on the island of Antigua. And in Barbados, by 2025 we hope to have a hotel chain.
What features will the hotel in Antigua and the one in Barbados have?
They are going to be All Inclusive. Celebrate your way, Party your Way in English, is an adults-only hotel in the Royalton CHICE brand, which has been quite successful in both the Dominican Republic and Mexico. We are also growing it in the British Caribbean. It is a concept only for adults, couples, friends, social groups, and for celebration.
