In this context, Travel2latam spoke with Lucia Adrover, Commercial Director at LEVEL Airlines.
What are the feelings of participating in an event like Fitur?
It is the tourism festival in Spain where we celebrate what we do best, which is welcoming millions of visitors every year and from there LEVEL contributes its small grain of sand by contributing to that tourism industry. We believe that the journey begins at the origin and not when one arrives at the destination, and hence we want to be part of that value chain and the experience that our clients live when they begin their trip, which will lead them to discover distant, vibrant, exciting destinations.
Do you want to remember what routes they have that connect them with America?
We fly to North America, United States: Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and now, starting March 31, we will fly to Miami as our new home route. And we also fly to Latin America: Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires.
What are the plans for this season that you are starting?
We started the 2024 summer season with great enthusiasm, we increased our seat offer by 40%, with almost 200 thousand more than in 2023, which will come hand in hand with a new Barcelona-Miami route. We are excited to be able to connect these two great cities and, in addition, we are densifying and improving the fleet of our existing product. For the first time we are going to have a daily flight between Barcelona and Boston, and another daily flight between Barcelona and Los Angeles. LEVEL also recently announced that we are going to have our operator license with our own AOC, then we will establish ourselves as an airline and by 2026 we will have a fleet of 8 aircraft, which will continue to grow.
Is it always an Airbus 330 fleet or do you have plans for other types of aircraft?
We have always flown with Airbus 330 and at the moment we have no plans to change.
How do you handle distribution with respect to agencies and operators in the Americas?
At the distribution level, we have a direct channel which is flylevel.com, where all our rates and cabins are available. We also distribute through travel agencies in GDS, through the Iberia code and also through NDC.
So, a travel agency will be able to find our content on our flights in GDS under the Iberia code with Iberia 2600 flights and also NDC. An important feature is that LEVEL not only offers point-to-point flights, but also connects destinations with the Vueling network, that is, a person leaving America will be able to travel to the destinations in Europe offered by Vueling by connecting via Barcelona. , this will be available through Iberia code.
Today you are at FITUR, but do you plan to participate in events in America?
We always say that we will be where the market is, where the clientele is and where Barcelona needs us. 2024 is going to be a very intense year full of great activity, so we will be in different events that we have yet to discover.
