The event was declared of National Tourist Interest by the National Secretariat of Tourism, which works to promote the development of the tourism sector in the department of Paraguarí, boosting gastronomy, accommodations, crafts, among others.
The carnival festivities will begin on Friday the 9th, and will last until Saturday, February 10th with the parade of murgas and comparsas; renowned artistic groups; national and foreign groups; colorful floats, which will be displayed by the organization.
The General Director of Tourism Services, Javier Ramírez, was present on behalf of the Minister of Tourism Angie Duarte. In addition, Mayor Marcelo Simbrón, from the city of Paraguarí, participated; Lic. Yasmín Elena Benítez Hamuy, from the organizing production company Haca Agency; and special guests.
