The prominence proposed at WTM Latin America 2024 with the theme “The Future Is Open. Be The Change” is present in all areas of the event and will be represented in Digital Influencers' Speed Networking, a session dedicated to professionals who are influencers and/or content producers in the digital universe.

The session will take place on the last day of the event, April 17, between 3 and 4 p.m., at the Trends Theatre, a theater that will host, for three days, presentations, conferences and workshops focused on debates that address trends in different areas of the tourism industry.

“The digital universe is growing and having an increasingly relevant space in the industry, modifying consumer behavior,” says Virginia Marques, Communication Manager at WTM Latin America, reinforcing that “our greatest interest is to show how these professionals can contribute with various strategies for launching, positioning, projection and marketing of products, services and tourist destinations” he highlights, anticipating that, in this edition, the session will be aimed at promoting the exchange between these professionals, exhibitors, agents and tourism operators.

The agenda follows the model of the other sessions: for one hour, exhibitors and visiting travel professionals will be able to connect with influencers and/or digital content producers in 10-minute talks. Guests will be invited to rotate and connect with a new influencer/content creator, chosen directly and based on their interest in the brand.

The 2024 edition of Digital Influencers' Speed Networking continues in collaboration with ABBV - Brazilian Association of Travel Blogs, which will make the partial selection and choose 20 (out of a total of 30) participants, divided into 13 categories: Afrotourism, Culture and History , Diversity and Inclusion, Lifestyle and Fashion, Family and PETs, Gastronomy and Drinks, LGBTQIA+, Women Travelers, Accessible Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Luxury Tourism, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism, Economical Travel.

According to Luciano Palumbo, president of ABBV, the space is ideal for the trade (agents, operators, DMCs/TMCs and service providers) to interact with the digital world in a professional manner.

“Speed Networking is the starting point to create effective strategies based on existing cases or new proposals between content producers, companies and travel destinations. It should be remembered that the space is not intended for pocket classes or individual mentoring, but rather to develop synergy between companies that seek digital advertising and promotional campaigns,” says Palumbo.
