On the occasion of the event dedicated to tourism marketing, GALA Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit 2024, which took place last week, Travel2latam had the opportunity to take a press trip to the region. This began in Puerto Vallarta, where the event took place, and ended by touring the Riviera Nayarit.

Puerto Vallarta is located on the coast of Mexico and has very interesting natural beauty, adventure and culture. From stunning beaches like Playa Olas Altas and Playa Los Muertos to the lush mountains of the Sierra Madre, Puerto Vallarta is a nature lover's paradise. And for the more adventurous, it has activities such as snorkeling, horseback riding and zip lining.

Its rich history and culture are reflected in its old town. And to live an unforgettable experience, the boat tour to see dolphins and other marine species up close is not to be missed.

From Puerto Vallarta we take the tour to Las Caletas, a spectacular nature reserve that offers activities for all ages, from nature walks and snorkeling in crystal clear waters, to the Adventure Cove with slides, zip lines and water sports.

We also visited the Malecón, an esplanade located in the Center and Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta. The waterfront crosses the Cuale River through the Cuale River Bridge. Features include Los Arcos, the Malecón lighthouse and a collection of sculptures.

Puerto Vallarta also has important lodging options such as Vidanta, a hotel complex with an amphitheater, where the opening party of the event was held with the joint participation of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. And The Hacienda hotel, an adults-only hotel from the Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta brand, which also has an option for families.

In addition, the city has the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center, where the GALA 2024 event was held, with the presence of authorities from the region with whom we were able to talk.

After the event, we toured Riviera Nayarit, a tropical paradise that stretches along the Pacific coast, where its pristine beaches, mountains and vibrant culture combine in perfect harmony.

Notable sites include San Blas, a historic port city full of colonial charm, with a rich haven for bird watching and delicious seafood. And Sayulita Pueblo Mágico, a charming coastal town, full of color, culture and creativity, where visitors can immerse themselves in art, cuisine and the joyful local spirit.

And among other places, we visited La Patrona & Club San Pancho, which has a polo club and an equestrian-themed restaurant, which offers a unique combination of sports, entertainment and gastronomy. The “Entre Amigos” Cultural Center, a community center that promotes art, education and cultural exchange. The Agua de Luna Boutique Hotel, an intimate and elegant retreat, featuring serene gardens and warm hospitality. And Tierra Tropical Beach Club, an elegant beachfront oasis that invites relaxation and recreation, with infinity pools and gourmet snacks.

Both Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have offered us unique experiences immersed in nature, with activities for all types of audiences, highly recommended gastronomy and first-class hotels. Both destinations really have a lot to offer.
