Avianca, official airline of the Barranquilla Carnival, transported more than 34,000 passengers between February 1 and 13, on more than 237 direct flights that connected Barranquilla with Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Miami.

During the carnival, the airline had a stage at the popular Battle of Flores and was also part of the float that celebrated the Centennial of the Colombian Football Federation, whose most legendary athletes arrived in Barranquilla on Avianca flights.

“Having been the official airline of this version of the Barraquilla Carnival allowed us to be part of this celebration and be in the streets with the more than 34,000 travelers who chose us on their visit to this city to enjoy the carnival. It is our goal that more and more people travel by plane and these types of events are spaces that allow us to connect with our customers beyond their flight experience,” commented David Alemán, Sales Director of Avianca.

Beyond the carnival, Avianca has its roots in the capital of Atlántico, as it was the city where the airline was founded 104 years ago and has maintained a close relationship with this destination to which it currently offers 131 direct weekly flights.
