A large delegation from Puerto Plata is preparing to attend the forty-third edition of the ANATO tourist showcase, in response to the invitation of the Dominican Ministry of Tourism.
The large representation is made up of authorities, leaders of the tourism sector, businessmen and the press, who have coordinated joint assistance, leaving for Bogotá on February 27, on a special flight scheduled by the Arajet airline, through the efforts of Mitur with the Tourism Cluster. and associations of Puerto Plata. This will leave from Santo Domingo towards the North Coast, with its final destination to the Colombian capital, where the conclave will take place.
With great enthusiasm, the people of Puerto Plata will have a presence in this important tourist showcase, where tour operators, travel agents, airlines and other industry players from more than 30 countries around the world attend, who will be presented with the new developments implemented in Dominican destinations, with special emphasis on the diversification that Puerto Plata currently exhibits.
This participation will be led by local authorities, including the Municipal Mayor of Puerto Plata, Diomedes García and the Northern Regional Director of Mitur, Carlos Atahualpa Paulino. From the private sector there will be Birgitt Heinsen, president of the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster, Carlos Rodolí, from the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism Companies of the North (ASHONORTE), César José de los Santos, from the Association of Hotels and Commercial Establishments from Playa Dorada, and Mileyka Brugal, from the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Puerto Plata.
Along with them, the businessmen José Natalio Redondo, Roberto Casoni, Pablo T. Brugal, Schembri Sant, Camilo Brugal, Francisco Gómez, Luis Caraballo, Juan Yamil Musa and Roger Mariotti, as well as the Sales and Marketing representatives of Blue, are also accredited. Bay, Ocean World, VH Hotels and Resorts, Manureva Tours, Freedom Builders Global Group SRL; a commission from the municipal mayor's office and a group of artists and exponents of the artistic and cultural aspects that identify the destination.

At ANATO we will be committed to continuing to strengthen ties with the tour operators that have traditionally supported us and we are going to conquer new relationships with which we can enhance our promotion plan and attract new visitors,” they stated.
They announced that, during the DR Tourism Road Show Colombia, presented by the Minister of Tourism David Collado, for the first time a Dominican destination will have a space to be presented by one of its actors, a presentation that they stated is timely and will be well appreciated by project all the benefits that Puerto Plata offers in its diversified proposal.
