Montevideo, March 4, 2024.- As part of its commitment to the Uruguayan market, SKY Airline announced the launch of new flights that will connect Montevideo and Miami, via Lima. This will make it possible for Uruguayans to reach the American city at convenient prices and in the most sustainable fleet in the region.

“We are very happy to continue strengthening our proposal in Uruguay. The connection to Miami will be available starting May 1, making us the only low cost company to connect Montevideo with Miami,” commented Carmen Gloria Serrat, Commercial Director of SKY.

Until March 7, the low cost will offer introductory rates, from USD538, including fees and taxes, applicable for flights between May 1 and June 30.

SKY will have three weekly frequencies, departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Montevideo, and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Miami.

For his part, the Minister of Tourism of Uruguay, Tabaré Viera, highlighted that: “It is excellent news for Uruguay, since it will allow us to be connected with the United States throughout the year. We must also highlight the growth of SKY as a low cost in just a few months that it has been operating in the country, and where they also confirm the increase in frequencies and connections."

Likewise, the airline announced that, starting in July, it will double its frequencies between Montevideo and Lima, going from three to six a week.

Since last January 2, SKY returned to the Uruguayan market, offering flights to attractive destinations outside the country, such as Santiago, Lima and Salvador de Bahía. The airline continues working to offer its passengers the best experiences with affordable prices while improving connectivity in Uruguay and the region.
