Successful roadshow promotes Puerto Plata to Puerto Rican travel agents

130 travel agents from the cities of Ponce and San Juan participated in the promotion of the Puerto Plata destination in Puerto Rico, carried out by the Tourism Cluster, the Ministry of Tourism and hotels on the north coast, during March 21 and 22

The delegation headed by Atahualpa Paulino, director of the Northern Regional office of Mitur, Birgitt Heinsen, president of the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster and representatives of the companies Blue Jack Tar, Amhsa Marina Hotels & Resorts, VH Hotels & Resorts, Viva Resort by Wyndham, Emotions by Hodelpa, Marien Puerto Plata and Hospitality Management Solutions, enthusiastically presented on the “Island of Enchantment”, the characteristics that make Puerto Plata attractive, an ideal destination to visit, regarding the direct air connection offered by the airline. Silver Airways.

During the events, coordinated through the Tourism Promotion Office (OPT) of the Ministry of Tourism in Puerto Rico, directed by Aida Virginia Martínez, a series of training dynamics were carried out, including a workshop to motivate membership of the Travel Regards RD program, which seeks excellence in traveler experiences. Likewise, raffles were held for stays for the industry professionals who participated.

Atahulpa Paulino, on behalf of Mitur, highlighted the actions that are being promoted to raise the quality of the offer offered by “La Novia del Atlántico”, pointing out that thanks to these efforts, it has been able to position it as one of the most optimal destinations and safe for all visitors. 

For her part, Birgitt Heinsen, who presented the attractions and activities that make up the destination's complementary offer, expressed her gratitude to all those involved in the success of this international promotional activity. 

He highlighted the support received by the participating agents and welcomed the support of the representatives of host institutions, such as José Luis Rivera-Villamañán, and Antonio J.Colorado ““Tito ”, directors of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (PRUSACC), for its acronym in English, who have shown great interest in continuing to promote projects that strengthen the bilateral relations that have historically existed between both islands.
