XXL weekend: Mar del Plata was chosen by 213,865 tourists

It means 29.7% more than the same period in 2023. Likewise, 826,582 tourists arrived during March, 3.2% more than last year

The Municipal Tourism and Culture Entity of Mar del Plata reported the official numbers produced by the extra long Easter weekend. Bernardo Martin, President of EMTURyC, pointed out that “213,865 tourists have arrived, which means 29.7% more than the same period in 2023.”

“It must be taken into account that this year the long Easter weekend was combined with the national holiday of Veterans and Memorial Day in the Malvinas and the tourist long weekend holiday, so it is necessary to consider the entire week, - from Monday, March 25 to Sunday, March 31 -, in which arrivals are estimated at 294,341; 27% more than the same period in 2023,” added the head of EMTURYC.

Regarding March arrivals, Martin reported that “826,582 tourists arrived throughout the month; which means 3.2% more compared to the same month in 2023.”
