Chile reaffirms the importance of the cruise industry at Seatrade 2024

The national delegation is part of the world's largest event for the cruise industry, which takes place until this Thursday in Miami, United States

Seatrade Cruise Global is the leading annual event of the cruise industry and Chile is present, through a delegation headed by Sernatur and thanks to the support of the Regional Government of Aysén and the Puertos del Conosur Corporation, which arrived in Miami along with a delegation of companies tourist attractions and destinations in the country.

The fair brings together buyers and suppliers from 120 countries, including 300 journalists specialized in the cruise segment, who will meet until Thursday, April 11. During these days, the national delegation will hold meetings with the most important international cruise lines and will carry out various work actions.

For the national director of Sernatur, Cristóbal Benítez, “being present at this conference allows us to continue being at the forefront of cruise tourism. During the week, we will be showing the tremendous potential of our country and the evolution that this segment has had, in addition to establishing contacts, in the search for more ships to call at the ports of Chile."

Seatrade explores the latest trends with industry influencers and high-level cruise executives and includes the annual State of the Global Cruise Industry address led by the CEOs of the world's largest cruise organizations.

During the four days at the convention center in Miami Beach, United States, Chile will represent the destinations of Valparaíso, Biobío, Puerto Montt and Aysén Patagonia, in addition to the companies DMC Chile, ILS Tours, Turistik, Innovart DMC, Pullman Hotels and Be Chile by Sportstour.

In addition to the commercial meetings held by national companies, our country has exhibited some activations to attract the fair's public.

Participating in today's inauguration were the Chilean consul in Miami, Daniel Ortiz; the mayors of Iquique and Valparaíso, Mauricio Soria and Jorge Sharp; and the president of the Conosur Ports Corporation, Enrique Runin.
