Peruvian exporters will present an important food offer at Anuga Select Brazil 2024

From April 9 to 11, ten Peruvian export companies will have the opportunity to promote their products to more than 13,000 potential buyers in the food and beverage sector at the Anuga Select Brazil 2024 fair, announced the Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission. (PROMPERU).

The Peruvian offer will be made up of olives, quinoa, asparagus, garlic, paprika, oil, chocolates, pasta, frozen fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, juices, sports drinks, water, pisco and beer, among others.

Participating Peruvian companies will be able to establish commercial ties with new buyers, evaluate trends and learn more about the international food and beverage market. In that sense, it is expected to generate business opportunities worth USD 3 million in 12 months.

“The participation of Peruvian producers and exporters in this event seeks to consolidate Peru as the main producer of fresh, frozen and processed foods. It is a great opportunity to position ourselves in a market as large and important as the Brazilian one and show the great quality of the products that our country offers,” said Angélica Matsuda, executive president of PROMPERÚ.

Anuga Select Brasil 2024 will take place in Sao Paulo and will concentrate the offer of fresh and frozen products, dairy products, food service, snacks, fine food (gourmet), organic and beverages.

The event will bring together more than 13,000 entrepreneurs from various segments of the food and beverage sector, such as supermarkets, restaurants, bars, hotels, resorts, wholesale distributors, cruise ships, importers, convenience stores, among others, mostly from Brazil. , but also from 33 other countries.

It should be noted that the promotion of Peruvian food and beverages in Brazil will continue at the Peru Brazil 2024 Border Business Meeting that will take place in Porto Velho in the month of May.

Peruvian exports to Brazil
In 2023, Peru exported agricultural products for USD 63.4 million and fishing products for USD 16.8 million to the Brazilian market.

The products that stand out in the export basket are: olives, oregano, blueberries and fresh asparagus, as well as frozen squid and octopus, and hake fillets.
