One of the most striking and visited activities in the Colombian Pacific is diving with sharks on Malpelo Island. People from all over the world can enjoy this unique experience in the 9th largest marine protected area in the world: Malpelo Island, named a Natural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO (2005) and internationally recognized as the “Everest of the world.” diving with sharks.” More than 395 species of fish live in the two coral and rocky reefs in the area and large concentrations of sharks of different species, reptiles and marine mammals can be observed.
