Under the theme "The Future is Open. Be the Change", Bianca Pizzolito, WTM Latin America event leader, led an inspiring discussion on the future of tourism. In her speech, she urged participants to reflect on their individual and collective choices, emphasizing the importance of revisiting history to shape what is to come.

Pizzolito highlighted tourism as a powerful tool for connecting people, cultures and promoting peace, highlighting the need to consider topics such as diversity, sustainability and inclusion when building the sector's future.

Furthermore, she encouraged those present to leave their comfort zone, dare to take the first steps and accept mistakes as part of the learning process necessary to shape a genuinely better future.

In an emblematic moment, Daniel Munduruku, renowned indigenous writer and activist, brought a unique perspective on the future of tourism. Highlighting the richness of Brazil's cultural diversity and the importance of rethinking our relationship with nature, Munduruku provoked participants to see beyond physical borders and commit to preserving local histories and cultures.

Munduruku's speech offered a powerful reflection on the need to respect diversity and build more conscious and inclusive tourism.

Among those present were prominent figures from the tourism industry, such as Kerry Prince, director of Reed Exhibitions, and Marcelo Freixo, president of EMBRATUR, as well as state tourism secretaries, including Fabrício Amaral, president of the National Forum of State Secretaries and Directors of Tourism (Fornatur).
