How was the company born?
We are Dunas Travel, we started in 2010 in Egypt. It is a company dedicated 100% to the Spanish and Portuguese speaking market, although we are now opening the market in Italy, but at the moment 90% of our work is from Spain and Latin America. We are well positioned. This year we are dedicating almost the entire budget to the Latin American market. We have gone to Tianguis, we are here in Sao Paulo, we are going to the Argentina FIT fair, we come again to Brazil at a fair in Puerto Alegre in November, among other relevant events, so we have four or five trips planned. Also next week we will be doing two events, one in Uruguay with 40 agencies and another in Paraguay with 30.
What are the services you offer?
We offer complete packages, complete itineraries in Egypt, from arrival at the airport to departure. We also provide hotels, ships, cruises and domestic flights. We offer packages, complete travel services of one week, 10, 9 or 5 days. We have a variety of programs for all tastes.
What attractions in Egypt are preferred by Latin travelers?
Latin travelers love history, monuments, temples and pyramids. There are people who like the Red Sea, the museum, but it is usually in the background. Latin American and Spanish tourists love the Egyptian culture, which is a world heritage site, it is a culture that no one else has.
Among the programs you offer, the best sellers, how many days do they include?
80% of the programs we sell last one week. Four nights Nile cruise, 3 nights in Cairo is the classic trip. If you go to Egypt, you have to go on a cruise along the Nile, and see Cairo, the pyramids, the Egyptian museum, the mosques from the Islamic era.
How do tourists travel to Egypt?
Now, thank God, we are very well connected with Latin America. We are connected with airlines such as Turkish, Qatar, Lufthansa, Iberia, Ethiopian Airlines. And there are many options from all over Latin America. If you leave Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, you have options to go to Egypt with Qatar Airways. My other dream is that we can generate direct lines for those who want to know the pyramids and tour Egypt.
