Belize Highlights Tourism Potential and Reinforces New Campaign During Press Conference at WTM Latin America

Belize held a press conference held at the Fogo de Chão restaurant, at Expo Center Norte, as part of the side events of WTM Latin America - World Trade Markt, from 15 to 17 April at Expo Center Nort

The event was attended by Belize's tourism minister, Anthony Mahler, and the president of TM Americas Tourism Marketing, Victor Manjarres.

During the press conference, Belize's new tourism campaign was announced, entitled "Paths to find your happiness". With 11 thousand hotels and a wide range of attractions, as highlighted by Juanita Ariza, VP of TM Americas Tourism Marketing, the country is positioning itself as a destination of choice for travelers looking for unique experiences.

Belize, approximately 298 kilometers long and 120 kilometers wide, offers diverse scenery ranging from tropical forests to stunning coral reefs. With a population of around 400,000 inhabitants, the country is known for its rich cultural diversity, where English is the official language, but other languages, such as Kriol, Spanish, Mayan, Garifuna and Mandarin, are also spoken.

Furthermore, Belize enjoys a pleasant subtropical climate, with an average temperature of 26°C throughout the year and two well-defined seasons: the dry season, from December to May, and the rainy season, from June to November.

Since its independence in 1981, Belize has adopted a democratic parliamentary government and has become a member of the Commonwealth, formerly known as British Honduras. The local currency is the Belize Dollar (BZD), with an exchange rate of US$0.50 to BZ$1.00.
