David Llibre, president of Asonahores, expressed that during these days the main business platform in the tourism sector had the Dominican tourism product as its protagonist and host.
“DATE is a marketing and promotion strategy that allows us to keep our offer in force, allowing us to provide a business and relationship platform for the different actors of the Dominican tourism product to continue the growth in visitor arrivals that we have had and to continue impacting our economy. and society,” said Llibre.
Aguie Lendor, executive vice president of Asonahores, explained that DATE 2024 closed with 8,500 appointments. She added that, through DATE 2024, they supported the different segments and the great diversity that the Dominican tourism product offers, where they managed to ensure that suppliers had a more active presence with business meetings with
specialized buyers.
He pointed out that this year there were 133 stands where more than 340 buyers and 500 suppliers gathered from 23 countries in the issuing markets. This confirms DATE as the most important tourism marketing event in the Caribbean region.
DATE is the main marketing event for the Dominican tourism product and its complementary offer and reaffirms Asonahores' commitment to promoting our tourist attractions, increasing investments and ensuring that the number of visitors to the country grows every year.
