Arajet breaks historical record for passenger movements

The Dominican airline transported 66 thousand passengers in April, which, added to the connecting passengers, totaled almost 90 thousand in that month

Arajet, the low-price airline in the Caribbean, reported that during the month of April it transported more than 66,000 passengers, without counting connections, becoming the Dominican airline that had the most movement in the first four months of 2024, and what becomes in a historical record, since never before had a local airline reached such figures.

According to the report of the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic on Dominican airline traffic last month, Arajet led the local market, transporting 83% of all passengers that had movements in the different airports of the country.

The JAC report highlights that Arajet was the only Dominican airline with growth in passenger mobilization in April, compared to March, and that the airline already represents 4% of the total passengers transported in the country during that month, and which is already the second airline with the largest mobilization of passengers at Las Américas International Airport.

According to the JAC report, SkyHigh Aviation was the second busiest Dominican airline with 9,400 passengers and Air Century the third with only 3,853 passengers.
