Once CHTA Marketplace was completed, we had the opportunity to tour Jamaica, being part of a volunteer initiative. In our case, we cleaned a public beach in Montego Bay.

Montego Bay, the capital of Saint James Parish on the north coast of Jamaica, is a major cruise port with several beach resorts and golf courses outside its commercial core. Popular beaches include Doctor's Cave and Walter Fletcher, home to an amusement park. There is also snorkeling and diving in the coral reefs in the protected waters of the Montego Bay Marine Park.

We continue the tour by visiting Jakes Treasure Beach Jamaica Hotel , a one-of-a-kind property that offers a relaxed and exquisite local gastronomy experience. Jakes Hotel is made up of beachfront bungalows and rooms, located on the southern coast of Jamaica.

We also sailed to a stop in Treasure Beach, where we enjoyed exquisite wood-fired cuisine and incredible landscapes. Jamaica's southern coast guards a treasure chest of coves and bays, where the Caribbean meets sandy and sometimes rocky shores.

On the way back, we visited Floyd's Pelican Bar, where we could appreciate the sunset and moonrise.

This extravagant driftwood bar sits in the ocean off the coast of Treasure Beach. Floyd's Pelican Bar, accessible only by boat, offers a memorable experience with stunning views or great food. There you can swim or snorkel in shallow waters, savor grilled lobster, and play a game or two of dominoes.

We toured Kingston the next day, where we had the pleasure of visiting the Bob Marley Museum, a must-see attraction for those who visit the capital of the Caribbean country.

The museum dedicated to reggae musician Bob Marley is located at 56 Hope Road, Kingston 6, where the singer once lived. It was also the home of Tuff Gong, a record label founded by The Wailers in 1970.
