The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) and the airline LATAM Airlines have formalized a strategic alliance to promote tourism to Peru, in Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Spain, the United States and Mexico. Likewise, these markets represented 61% of the total international arrivals to Peru in 2023.
As part of this strategic alliance, which will be valid until June 2024, digital advertising actions are being carried out in the aforementioned countries. Within the framework of the signed agreement, the following Peruvian destinations are being promoted in the Colombian market: Áncash, Arequipa, Cusco, Lima and Piura.
The main objective of this strategic alliance is to promote travel to Peru by diversifying the offer of air tickets and improving international connectivity.
LATAM Airlines offers extensive connectivity between Peru and the international markets involved in this alliance with PROMPERÚ. It operates three direct routes between Colombia and Peru with an average of 33 weekly flights. In addition, the airline offers various options for Colombian travelers who wish to explore Peruvian tourist destinations, facilitating visitors' access to the various regions that exist in the neighboring country.
