During the days of May 28 and 29, the LATAM group was distinguished by two important international entities in the industry, specifically for its on-board service and travel experience for passengers.
At the Onboard Hospitality Awards 2024, the airline was awarded “Best sustainability on board” - which was awarded for the second consecutive year -, on this occasion it was for the implementation of the "Recycle your trip" program in the domestic market of Brazil; It also received the “Highly Commended” mention for the “Best onboard entertainment” and “Catering innovation of the year” categories. For its part, at the Pax International Awards it won, for the fifth year, the Outstanding Food award. Service by a Carrier for South America 2024.
“These awards are an important recognition of our team for everything they do for our clients, and for the work we are developing in LATAM with our continuous commitment to improving the experience. In the case of the awards from the English magazine Onboard Hospitality, these were basically awarded for three initiatives: the airline's commitment to the implementation of the "Recycle your trip" program in the domestic market of Brazil; the “Sabores que Transporten” program, which seeks to highlight the food and local pride of South American chefs; and by the technologies implemented to improve the travel experience of passengers, which includes a wide network of exclusive content, with more than 180 movies, 580 episodes of television shows, 150 music albums and exclusive content from HBO Max, Paramount+ and Disney+, the largest in South America.
On the other hand, the Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier for South America 2024 award, from PAX International magazine, went to the program Sabores que Transportan, in which the wine list in premium cabins selected by the only master sommelier in Latin America, Héctor Vergara, and the delivery of local brand products on domestic flights had a significant impact.
