To facilitate logistics and assist companies, agencies and individuals who wish to make donations to the victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, the Voetur Group, through its commercial operations, created the Coleta Solidária campaign. The company has already collected donations at collection points in São Paulo, Goiânia and Brasilia, organized by private companies and public organizations, and brought them to the cities of Rio Grande do Sul. To date, 271 tons of items have been transported to the state , including water, blankets, hygiene kits, clothing, medicines, toys and diapers, in more than 11 trucks.
To care for the animals rescued from the floods, Voetur, together with a group of large Brazilian businessmen, purchased 25 tons of dog food, which has also been delivered to shelters.
“We understand that logistics is a crucial part of ensuring donations reach those who need them and we have a network capable of meeting demand efficiently and quickly. We are giving support to those who make the collections and thus the process becomes more fluid and the parts arrive as quickly as possible to those who need them most,” explains Carlos Alberto de Sá, president of the Voetur Group.
The company's headquarters in Brasilia and its subsidiaries in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are also donation collection points. Employees can bring donation items to the three addresses, which will be organized and shipped to the state.
“This union of our business family, our more than 1,100 employees and drivers who were willing to make a risky trip without knowing much about what they would find there, shows our commitment as a Group, to satisfy the needs of the population and families of RS. They need a lot of help right now. In this sad moment, we spare no effort to make our know-how and our structure available for as long as necessary,” concludes Carlos Alberto.
