With an opening date scheduled for the end of 2024, JOIA Aruba by Iberostar is a five-star paradise that has 240 suites with impressive views, and this U-shaped architectural gem has been strategically designed so that guests can admire Eagle Beach.
The property is designed to welcome guests of all ages, and was created with the intention of being an attractive option to celebrate weddings, honeymoons, special occasions and family getaways. Guests staying at JOIA Aruba by Iberostar can enjoy room, concierge and butler service, as well as exclusive rooms with direct access to the pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. The establishment also has a state-of-the-art conference center of nearly one thousand square meters, a large spa, a casino and a fully equipped Fit & Fun gym. In addition, golf lovers will be able to use the regulation golf course belonging to Iberostar's Tierra del Sol resort, which has 18 holes and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, and has been recognized by USA Today readers as one of the ten best golf courses in the Caribbean in 2024.
The hotel, in line with Iberostar's commitment to gastronomy, will offer three culinary options: a buffet restaurant and two themed restaurants specializing in Caribbean cuisine and meat, fish and seafood cooked over an open fire. In addition, the hotel has a terrace bar from which guests can enjoy the spectacular Aruba sunsets.
The hotel, which will open 100% electric, has been designed using the principles of passive design to promote energy efficiency and has been built in collaboration with local and international teams to reduce environmental impact. In accordance with Iberostar's commitment to sustainability and its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, the hotel will apply low-impact initiatives, progressive waste management techniques with efficient use of energy to minimize emissions.
The contemporary coastal interior design and stunning exteriors are inspired by the striking colors of Aruba's marine life and Iberostar's passion for the oceans. Green, turquoise and earth tones combine exquisitely to convey a sense of luxurious island living. The interior of the property features many design elements inspired by the local environment, including a sculpture of a Divi-Divi tree (typical of the island) in the main lobby, a manta ray design in the pool, and installations and works of unique art. The exterior of the building is inspired by the scales of the parrot fish, which is responsible for cleaning coral reefs of algae. Reflecting Iberostar's commitment to responsible tourism, the resort has integrated sustainable and low-impact features into both its design and operations.
