About Japan Experience
Chieko Aoki detailed the importance of the Japan Experience, which in 2024 will be held from August 2nd to 11th at Blue Tree Thermas de Lins, in the interior of São Paulo. The event will feature artistic presentations, sports and recreational activities, oriental cuisine, as well as a special lunch in honor of Father's Day. A highlight will be the forum with the leaders of JCI Brazil-Japan, addressing the theme “Meeting of generations: children, young people and the silver age”.
She explained that the objective of the Japan Experience is to promote Japanese culture in other regions, especially in the interior of São Paulo, and to bring the local Japanese community and other regions of Brazil, such as Londrina and Paraná, closer together. “We started almost twenty years ago, at the time of the centenary of Japanese immigration, and since then we have kept Japanese culture alive through dancing, singing and practices such as cleaning public spaces,” highlighted Aoki.
Tourism and Economy
Chieko Aoki also shared her vision about the importance of tourism for the economy, highlighting that the hotel industry is connected to more than fifty sectors. "Tourism affects many sectors of the economy and is a great source of employment," she said. Aoki emphasized the relevance of tourism in people's quality of life, as traveling opens new frontiers and creates human connections.
International Inspirations
The businesswoman mentioned Singapore as an inspiring example for the development of tourism in Brazil. “The Prime Minister of Singapore has invested in people, sending students to study at renowned institutions and promoting gender equality, resulting in significant growth in tourism and the country's economy,” she said. Aoki highlighted the importance of robust infrastructure, such as Singapore airport, which provides entertainment and amenities, making the travel experience more enjoyable.
The Future of Tourism
Chieko Aoki believes that tourism should focus on providing people with happiness and well-being. “Humans have an incredible need for entertainment and to be happy,” she said. She emphasized that the city cannot be sad and that entertainment that brings joy is fundamental to the economy. According to Aoki, companies should be more concerned with people's well-being, offering good times and memorable experiences.
