Mexican Caribbean ready to welcome tourists after Hurricane Beryl

The coasts of Quintana Roo were hit by Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane. Fortunately, the tourist operations of the destinations have not been affected

The 11 municipalities and 12 tourist destinations in the state report that there has been no impact on hotel and tourist infrastructure. Mobility has been reactivated throughout the state. And the dry law has been lifted throughout Quintana Roo.

Maritime operations remain suspended and will resume as soon as weather conditions permit.
The road infrastructure has not been significantly affected.

Current Conditions:
Some power outages, fallen trees and flooding have been reported, but this does not affect the tourist operations of the destinations.

Information and Protocols:
The protocols implemented by the State Government allowed visitors to have current and reliable information at all times through the Guest Assist and Guest Locator platforms.

These platforms provided accurate data on more than 38,739 tourists across the state, information that was shared with embassies and consulates.

In addition, direct support was provided through the Guest Assist app.

Air Operations:
Despite some delays and cancellations, none of the state's four airports have reported any impact on their infrastructure.

Temporary Shelters:
Temporary shelters inside and outside hotels have worked as planned and have not reported any incidents. Tourists who were moved to temporary shelters outside their hotels have already been transferred back. In the
case of Tulum, which was expected to be the point of impact, more than 7,100 tourists were sheltered.
