With the opening of Cerro Perito Moreno, one of the most important ski resorts in the region, the winter season in El Bolsón got underway this week.

Had a unique experience in the snow!

About 30 minutes from the city, Cerro Perito Moreno has recently become an excellent alternative for those who want to venture into the snow. With 23 kilometers of skiable slopes distributed in 16 runs that allow excellent technical progression, this winter resort offers a wide range of activities for the whole family, with proposals for both experts and beginners who want to take their first steps in the world of skiing and snowboarding.

However, the mountains are also synonymous with fun and Perito Moreno is no exception to this, adding to its offer entertaining sled descents and snowshoe walks. In addition, Cerro has a distinctive offer that includes the possibility of practicing skiing ratrack, an excursion that takes skiers and snowboarders to virgin slopes where there are no ski lifts or other skiers and allows them to connect with the immensity of the mountain.

With a capacity of up to 7,000 passengers per day, this space also includes various gastronomic points where you can enjoy mountain dishes and sweet delicacies, a snowpark with sections for beginners, advanced and professionals; a ski and snowboard school, a snow garden with entertainment for the little ones and an equipment rental shop, in addition to a hotel that will be partially inaugurated this season. There is also the snowcat, an unmissable experience of exploring the mountain aboard tracked vehicles and discovering spectacular panoramic views.

A destination with infinite charms

Although snow is the main attraction of winter, the Andean city also has various natural attractions that invite you to marvel at the incredible mountain landscapes, such as walks to the Bosque Tallado, an incredible site that houses nearly 60 sculptures created by artists from around the world, or the Camino de los Nogales that allows you to experience various agrotourism activities along a 10-kilometer route through which it is also possible to access the Rinconada del Nahuelpan, where there is a waterfall worth seeing. Another alternative is Cerro Amigo, which is 2 kilometers from the city center and includes a low-difficulty walk and houses various viewpoints from which you can appreciate the most incredible views of the town, the valley and Cerro Piltriquitrón. In addition, it is possible to admire this corner of the province from above through the Azul or Cerro Piltriquitrón viewpoints. In all cases, it is recommended to check in advance at the local Tourism office.

On the other hand, adrenaline lovers will also find in El Bolsón different Active Tourism alternatives such as canopy, rappelling and climbing or visits to some of the enabled mountain shelters, which are added to the horseback riding and mountain walks also offered by local providers and which promise a unique and unforgettable experience.

The experience in the region is completed with the regional gastronomy, which is characterized by exquisite dishes based on exotic and fresh meats and is added to the extensive list of craft beers that are produced in the region and are unmissable to try, the same thing happens with the great variety of artisanal chocolates and their diverse presentations that make up an unmissable delicacy for the palate.
