Country Bear Jamboree was one of the last attractions that Walt Disney personally developed more than 50 years ago. The country celebration alongside the adorable bears became a must-see show for all visitors. And now the bears are back with a revamped show: Country Bear Jamboree that combines
Disney music in Nashville style with the fan-favorite cast, the incredible brown bears.

Country Bear Musical Jamboree Stars
Grizzly Hall Theatre in Frontierland is home to a wild and captivating show that pays tribute to the American musical legacy of Ursus H. Bear. Over the years, Ursus' grandson Henry has led the way in creating an exciting new country musical.

Longtime fans of Grizzly Hall know and love the wacky cast of bears, and for those joining the jamboree for the first time, here's the lineup of performers making a triumphant return to the stage in this revamped show:

Ursus H. Bear: Ursus is the founder of Grizzly Hall. He invited many talented bears to present live country-western and folk performances!

Henry: Ursus' grandson, Henry, is the current emcee. He helped create the new show and co-wrote the opening song with Five Bear Rugs.

Five Bear Rugs: The Five Bear Rugs includes Zeke, Zeb, Ted, Fred, and a bear named Tennessee, who all love country music.

Trixie: One of the veteran performers, she's tried it all! She found her niche singing with the Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah triplets.

Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah: Originally known as The Sun Bonnets, they traded in their hats for Stetsons when they began singing with Trixie around the world, ending up here at the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

Teddi Barra: Grizzly Hall is proud to present Teddi Barra, the Jewel of the Dakotas. Her rise in show business was rapid after being discovered in an ice cream parlor.

Wendell: Wendell was a frustrated basketball, baseball, and football player until Henry invited him to try singing. He has been a member of the Country Bears ever since and is now excited to finally be able to sing a romantic song with Teddi.

Ernest the Dude: Ernest the Dude is one of the best dressed bears in Grizzly Hall. He brings his entire wardrobe with him wherever he goes!

Terrence, aka Shaker: Terrence, aka Shaker, was once a famous stage star until he fell off a balcony in "Romeo and Juliet." He's since traded in his tights for a guitar and returned to the
stage.

Romeo McGrowl: This bear, also known as the Miami Serenader, is ready to enter a new phase singing rockabilly!

Gomer: Gomer is the pianist of the house, who has been perfectly trained since he was a puppy.

Big Al: Of course, mention must be made of the infamous Big Al. He has been playing guitar since he was a puppy and has music in his blood.

Behind the Music of Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Walt Disney Imagineering tapped established and emerging country music talent for the vocals of the new musical repertoire, featuring songs from several Disney Animation films. Featured artists include 10-time CMA Musician of the Year winner Mac McAnally, who performs “The Bare Necessities” from “The Jungle Book.” Country singer Emily Ann Roberts lends her voice to Trixie with a rendition of “Try Everything” from the film “Zootopia.” Singer-songwriter Allison Russell and musician Chris Thile voice Teddi Barra and Wendell, respectively, performing “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin.”

"I first saw the Country Bears as a teenager and felt proud of the acoustic musical heritage of the South," said McAnally, who voices Terrence, aka Shaker, in Country Bear Musical Jamboree. "I then watched the show with my kids and sat amongst generations of families from all over and felt that bond that lasts a lifetime. I am so blessed to be a part of the legacy and have done my best to honor the spirit of the Bears and Disney's great musical repertoire, as well as the heart and soul that runs through the veins of country music. And maybe that explains why I have been singing in a bear voice for several decades before being given this opportunity."

"This is an opportunity I never dreamed of," said Emily Ann Roberts, voice of Trixie St. Claire in Country Bear Musical Jamboree. "It's such an honor to be a part of a show that has been so beloved for so many years. I hope that when people hear Trixie's song about trying new things, failing and
trying again, they'll be inspired to do the same."

The bears will sport new costumes inspired by classic country music culture, including iconic outfits from The Grand Ole Opry, a live country music broadcast studio in Nashville. Guests should keep an eye out for Easter eggs and messages throughout the attraction.

Guests around the world will be able to give a standing ovation to the stars of the show when the all-new Country Bear Musical Jamboree debuts July 17, 2024, at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
