Excellent news for senior citizens was announced this Friday by the Sernatur Senior Citizens' Vacations program, with the opening of more than 8 thousand travel spots in its Classic package mode, to travel during the second half of the year to different parts of Chile.

The Classic Vacations for the Elderly line is made up of tourist packages specially designed for senior citizens, with trips of four to seven nights, all-inclusive, with a state subsidy of between 25 and 75% of the total value. Among its most popular destinations are La Serena, Ancud and Pucón, and this time the long-awaited destination of San Pedro de Atacama will also be reopened.

Sernatur Director Cristóbal Benítez commented that “we are very happy to share this news with you, because it also marks a milestone in the recovery of national tourism after the pandemic. It is an incredible opportunity for our seniors to enjoy, rest and tour our beautiful country, because classic destinations never go out of style. So we invite you to discover the tourist packages and find out more on Sernatur's website and social media.”

To access one of these places, you only have to contact one of the 156 agencies published on the website Vacacionesterceraedad.cl/agencias-de-viajes and ask for information to begin planning your vacation for the second half of the year.
