Royal Caribbean International and GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor welcomed the celebratory vacation, Utopia of the Seas, with a spectacular summer party in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida. Trainor, the godmother of the new vacation, marked the unveiling of the ultimate short getaway at an official onboard christening event with more than 4,000 partygoers, the legendary Rev Run and DJ Ruckus on the decks, Royal Caribbean crew members and executives and more. The moment comes just days before the final milestone, when Utopia debuts the first of its 3-night, 4-night weekday weekend getaways on Friday, July 19.
Celebrating the people and work that bring Utopia to life and the weekend energy that comes every day of the week, the “All That Bass” star took center stage at the Ultimate Short Getaway’s iconic outdoor AquaTheater to provide protection for the ship, its dedicated crew and the millions of people who will celebrate on Utopia for years to come. The party reached its peak when Trainor performed live for the audience, which included more than 50 of Trainor’s 20,000-plus fans who filed in for a chance to join the party. Monday’s event kicked off Utopia’s 3-night cruise and celebration that includes one party after another, including a live onboard concert hosted by Trainor as the new vacation takes place on Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
