Hosted at the wonderful Alt Hotel St John's, ISA built lasting relationships between incentive travel buyers and suppliers; provided a reflective education with both personal and professional resonance; and showed a destination that was completely new to most attendees.

"SITE research has shown that the primary requirement for corporations and agencies using incentive travel as part of their rewards and recognition programs is to select 'destinations not used before.' With this in mind, we identified St. John's, Newfoundland, as a leading contender and we collaborated with our partners at Destination Canada and Destination St. John's to design the perfect program “What unfolded on Canada's Atlantic coast was a truly impactful, unapologetic, local and authentic travel experience. "said Annette Gregg, executive director of SITE.

Paul Buggé, CEO of Destination St. John's, said: "Welcoming so many talented incentive travel professionals dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences that motivate and inspire was a true pleasure. St. John's, with its unique blend of history, culture and natural beauty, offers the perfect setting for a transformative and memorable incentive experience.

Attendees had two mornings of education at Memorial University's Signal Hill campus. SITE Executive Director Annette Gregg presented "What's in Store for '24" and then led a seaside chat and lively discussion on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with Destination Canada's Jeffrey Fehr.

On day two, former MMA fighter turned philanthropist and humanitarian Justin Wren delivered a powerful blow with his redemption story of a journey from hopelessness and despair in Mexico to meaning and purpose in the Congo.

Afternoon activities will provide a variety of borderline immersive adventures, including an unforgettable helicopter flight over the Irish Circuit of Newfoundland, a whale and bird watching trip, an ocean safari and two hiking options.

Delegates were left with a deep sense of the uniqueness of St. John's and its potential as an attractive location for transformative incentive travel experiences.

Incentive Summit Americas 2025 will be held at the Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont, April 1-4.
