Federico Greppi, new Chief Operations Officer of Marriott International for the Caribbean and Latin America

Marriott International, the world's largest hotel chain and the one with the greatest presence in the region, has appointed Federico Greppi as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA)

In this position, the Latin executive with extensive experience in Latin America will lead the operation and be in charge of all departments in the CALA region.

“Federico is an outstanding professional with great strategic vision who never loses sight of day-to-day needs,” said Brian King, president of Marriott International CALA. “His ability to translate Marriott International’s global vision into locally executable actions has been critical to the business, and has earned him recognition from the team, owners and operators,” added King.

Federico’s contributions as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and leader of Franchise Operations and Owner Relations have been instrumental in driving Marriott’s growth in the CALA region, which currently has nearly 500 properties in 38 markets and generates more than $5 billion in sales. His extensive knowledge of the realities of Latin America and the Caribbean will be crucial to maintaining Marriott’s leadership in the region.

Federico has extensive experience in the business world. He began his career in the hospitality industry in 2003, holding various positions at headquarters, in the Americas and at CALA. Prior to joining Marriott, he was a recognized consultant working across various industries for Andersen, a global leader in consulting and financial services. Federico holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BA in Business Administration and Accounting.
