The sponsorship is part of Washington, D.C.’s promotional efforts in connection with WorldPride, which the city will host from May 23 to June 8, 2025. Next year will also mark the 50th anniversary of Pride in Washington, D.C., one of the largest pride celebrations in the world.

Hosting the event in DC also provides greater access to policymakers seeking positive change for human rights.”
Washington, DC has the highest percentage of LGBTQ+ adults in the United States, with 14.3% of the local population identifying as LGBTQ+*.
