From July 22 to 25, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust - in conjunction with the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau - held training seminars for travel advisors in the cities of Atlanta, Austin, Houston and New York.
The destination delegation included the Buenaventura, Krystal and Crown Paradise Resorts hotels, which shared detailed information about their facilities and attractive vacation packages with attendees. These seminars brought together top travel agents in production, convened by the destination's commercial allies, including wholesalers Vacation Express, Pleasant Holidays and Delta Vacations, as well as airlines Aeroméxico and Volaris.
Among the highlights were the air connectivity, with direct flights from all the cities visited - including a new Alaska Airlines flight from New York - as well as the great wealth of natural attractions in the destination, from the extensive offer of swimmable beaches throughout the year, to unique sites in the world such as the Mismaloya Arches and the Marietas Islands, in addition to seasonal activities for the whole family, such as the release of baby turtles throughout the summer and fall, and whale watching during the winter.
Luis Villaseñor , director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, stressed the importance of the previous work to have a good turnout for these seminars: "travel advisors attended, with whom we had contact at important events in the tourism industry held this year, such as the Las Vegas Travel Agent Forum, ASTA Global Conference, GTM West and EDGE Travel Leaders Forum, events that bring together only the best agents in production, from various markets."
Attending these seminars allowed us to strengthen our relationship with them, as well as provide them with comprehensive training on the destination, enriching and reinforcing their knowledge about Puerto Vallarta to provide greater sales tools, seeking to encourage the summer, fall and winter seasons.
