MSC Cruises , a family-owned company with a passion for the sea for several generations and experts in transforming cruise holidays into an unforgettable journey, announces the arrival of the MSC Splendida to South America for the 2024-2025 season, making it the sixth ship to serve this region.
MSC Splendida, destined for Argentine and Brazilian audiences, is the third ship to depart from the port of Buenos Aires in the 2024/2025 season. With 14 departures, on Mondays from December 16, 2024 to March 17, 2025, including Christmas and New Year's departures. It will offer 7-night itineraries to the South of Brazil, visiting the exclusive Uruguayan town of Punta del Este and the incredible Brazilian beaches of Camboriú, Itajaí and Santos. For a total of 33 departures from Buenos Aires, along with the 14 departures of the MSC Poesia with 8- and 9-night itineraries and the 5 departures of the MSC Armonia with 7-night itineraries.
“The incredible MSC Splendida will be making 14 calls at the Port of Buenos Aires this summer, joining the offer designed for the Argentine market together with MSC Poesia and MSC Armonia, which will undoubtedly boost national and regional tourism and generate value for many sectors of economic activity,” said Javier Massignani, General Manager of MSC Cruises Argentina and Latam. He added, “ strengthening its presence in the country, this great news is due firstly to the great pre-sales made in the first half of the year and secondly to the support received from the national authorities based on the incentive policy for the current season, announced days ago. This great news further highlights the leadership of MSC Cruises in the region and in the port of Buenos Aires in particular, being the main cruise operator with 6 ships and more than 45% of the total volume of the port. We continue to work with government authorities, ports, strategic partners and suppliers to improve conditions and continue investing in the region in order to boost cruise tourism, supporting the latest measures announced by the government, since South America is key to the company's global strategy."
During the launch promotion, MSC Cruises will offer the “All inclusive drinks” called 'easy package' on all departures and for all guests who book their cruise on board the MSC Splendida throughout the month of August.
For Pablo Laudonia, Sales Manager for Argentina and LATAM, “this news represents an immense challenge but at the same time generates great enthusiasm for us. The arrival of the MSC Splendida represents a great increase in the volume of business that we will have next summer as well as a great leap in quality in the offer, if we consider that our guests can enjoy the MSC Yacht Club, in addition to the endless possibilities for fun and entertainment that this ship has. We trust that this new proposal will be highly recognized by Argentine guests and the industry.”
The elegant MSC Splendida is the perfect ship for a South American itinerary, with spacious open-air decks and state-of-the-art facilities including family-friendly entertainment with a spectacular theatre, a variety of restaurants serving refined international cuisine, an outdoor pool and indoor/outdoor pool with all-weather magrodome and an authentic Balinese spa.
75% of cabins have balconies offering panoramic views of the South American coastline and its destinations, and for those seeking an added touch of luxury, the ship offers the MSC Yacht Club – the “ship within a ship” concept offering an exclusive holiday sanctuary with 24-hour personalised butler service, private sundeck, plus elegant facilities, luxurious accommodations with a host of dedicated services.
