Through this alliance, Priority Pass reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and support for Paralympic athletes, providing them with access and special attention in the VIP lounges that will be part of the itinerary on their trip to the sporting events that will take place in August in the City of Lights.
This initiative seeks to significantly improve the travel experience of athletes, allowing them to rest and prepare properly in a comfortable and calm environment before their competitions, ensuring that they arrive in the best condition to perform at their best.
According to Juan Diego Chamorro, Vice President of Marketing for Collinson in the Americas, it is a great honor to have this alliance with the CPC, whose objective is to provide athletes with a better travel experience and preferential attention in airport VIP lounges. “At Priority Pass we firmly believe in equal opportunities and we are very proud to be able to provide the best possible conditions for athletes to reach their full potential.”
At a global level, Priority Pass has focused its commitment to social responsibility on the sports field; its most notable actions have been focused not only on supporting Paralympic athletes, but also on promoting gender equality, developing athletes, collaborations with NGOs and associations of professional athletes.
"We are happy to sign the agreement with Priority Pass so that all of our Para athletes and the entire Colombian delegation that will represent the country at the 2024 Paralympic Games, each of our members will have access to 4 tickets to the VIP Lounges for one year," said Julio Cesar Ávila, president of the Colombian Paralympic Committee (CPC).
"These VIP lounges are specialized in serving people with disabilities and we are sure that the entire delegation will receive excellent service," Ávila reiterated.
According to recent global research from Priority Pass, over 60% of travelers feel their airport experience significantly impacts their ability to relax and recharge while traveling.
In the case of Colombia, for 33% of travelers, stress begins from the moment they plan their trip, followed by 19% who say that anxiety begins once they make their reservations, and 17% say that stress increases when they are already on the way to the airport. For this reason, Priority Pass' objective is precisely to improve the experience at airports with its VIP Lounges, which have various premium services that allow you to enjoy a pleasant moment before boarding.
The 75 Colombian Paralympic athletes will travel to Paris on August 11 to represent the country in various disciplines, including Para athletics, Para swimming, Para cycling, Para powerlifting, Boccia, Blind football, among others.
Priority Pass and the Colombian Paralympic Committee (CPC) wish you every success in your competitions, confident that your dedication, effort and talent will be a source of pride and motivation for all Colombians.
