Europamundo Vacaciones celebrates its 10th anniversary as part of JTB and stands out at the GBU Awards 2023

The event was attended by distinguished attendees, including Goro Kido, CEO of JTB Europe; Hidetoshi Kashihara, Head of Corporate Strategy; Alejandro de la Osa, CEO of Europamundo; Berend L. Christian, Director of Corporate Planning; Luis Garcia, founder of Europamundo; and Gabriel Sanchez, CFO.

During the event, Berend L. Christian shared a retrospective on the process of integrating Europamundo into JTB a decade ago, highlighting the milestones and challenges overcome. Goro Kido expressed his gratitude for the effort and dedication of all Europamundo team members, from management to the office team, guides, drivers and operators. He also conveyed words of thanks from Eijiro Yamakita, CEO of JTB Corp., and other members of the executive team.

One of the most emotional moments of the celebration was the recreation of the traditional Japanese ceremony Kagami Biraki, performed by Goro Kido and Alejandro de la Osa. This symbolic and spiritual rite, which was carried out for the first time 10 years ago, represents a mutual commitment of effort and cooperation, as well as a blessing of abundance and prosperity for both parties.

The celebration of this milestone not only marks a decade of growth and success, but also a promising future full of new opportunities and challenges. Europamundo Vacaciones reaffirms its commitment to continue offering unique and quality travel experiences, thanks to the constant support of JTB and the unwavering effort of its team.

And this was demonstrated in the latest edition of the GBU Awards 2023, also held last July, awards given within the organization to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions of its employees, business units and leaders.

We are delighted to announce that Europamundo Vacaciones has shined at this ceremony, with three of our outstanding talents being honoured for their contributions: José Daniel Barbosa from Customer Service, has been awarded the Super Fresher Award, celebrating his talent and innovative energy that drives our creativity.

Larisa Salas Roa, the company's guide, has received the Ideal Model Award, in recognition of her exemplary dedication and inspiration to all those around her.

And finally, Hironosuke Suzuki of Land Cruise has been recognized with the Business Success Achievement Award, highlighting his visionary leadership and impressive achievements that have taken our company to new heights.
