The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex invites everyone to live a unique experience under the stars with the "Kennedy Under the Stars" event on Saturday, August 31, 2024. This exclusive event promises to be a night full of fun and surprises in an environment steeped in the magic of the cosmos.
A Night of Fun and Science
From 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors will be able to participate in activities that combine the best of music, science and technology. The night will feature a Video DJ who will revive the best hits of the 80's and 90's in The Rocket Garden, and a dance party with a Techno DJ to enjoy at NASA Central. In addition, there will be a Cosmic Glow Mini Golf under the impressive Saturn 1B rocket, offering a playful and visually striking experience.
Interaction with Veteran Astronauts
One of the biggest attractions of "Kennedy Under the Stars" is the unique opportunity to interact with veteran NASA astronauts. These space heroes will mingle with guests, sharing their incredible stories and experiences of life beyond our planet. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn firsthand about the challenges and wonders of space exploration.
Nighttime Attractions & Activities
During the event, the visitor complex will remain open late. This includes the iconic Space Shuttle Atlantis ® and the thrilling Shuttle Launch Experience ® , where guests can feel the rumble and excitement of a space launch. Additionally, multi-sensory science experiments led by the STEAM team will take place, providing an educational and entertaining opportunity for all ages.
Food, Drink & Shopping
A wide variety of food and beverage options will be available for purchase throughout the evening, ensuring that guests can enjoy delicious culinary options while exploring the attractions. Additionally, several select shops will remain open, offering exclusive merchandise and space-themed souvenirs.
Dress for the Occasion
Attendees are encouraged to wear space and star themed attire, though for safety reasons, face-obscuring masks and weapon-like accessories are prohibited. This themed dress touch adds an extra layer of fun and allows all attendees to fully immerse themselves in the galactic atmosphere of the event.
