Tropicfeel has presented the main conclusions of the report prepared from thousands of responses from travel lovers in more than 70 countries. In it, the favourite brand of travellers reveals the latest trends in travel, focusing on aspects such as travellers' preferences in relation to planning, the destinations they choose and their motivations.

To obtain these answers, the pioneering company in clothing and footwear for travellers has consulted its community in 70 countries, mainly in Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.

Among the participants, 60% are men and more than half are between 30 and 45 years old.

Adventure destinations and must-see cultural visits
Most respondents opt for coastal or mountain destinations and more than 80% consider it essential to visit world-famous landmarks. 67%, however, enjoy participating in adventure sports and around 52% choose relaxation and wellness plans.

This shows that, although the majority are active and adventure-seeking travellers, the more popular cultural tourism is still in trend.

From these results we can conclude that travellers are moving away from desert and polar destinations, which would require more preparation, more luggage space and a higher budget.

The data provided by the study show that a holiday trip of between one and two weeks is enough time to make the most of a far-away destination. In this sense, almost 70% of the traveller community chooses medium-length breaks, between 1 and 2 weeks, and 90% of them choose the plane as their means of transport. This may mean that they opt for far-away destinations, which they can make the most of during this time. Meanwhile, 45% also choose the car and 41% the train.

Personal recommendations are more reliable than social media or the Internet
Travellers continue to rely on recommendations from friends and family when it comes to deciding and planning their next holiday. So much so that 73% of them are inspired by the experience of people close to them when planning their route, as it is more reliable and convincing. Close behind is the influence of social media, at 57%, due to it being the most accessible, widespread and agile medium for obtaining information.

Blogs, online searches, books and Google Maps are also useful for complementing the search for routes and plans to achieve the desired experience.

Adventure lovers spend, on average, 1000 euros on trips of about 15 days

When it comes to investing in a passion, budget is one of the most important factors. However, the results obtained show that travellers are looking for exciting, popular and adventurous experiences, and are moving away from luxury. Although it is closely related to the duration of the adventure - which in the Troficfeel community is an average of 1 to 2 weeks - the budget of more than half of travellers is between 1000 and 2000
euros. Even, for 40% of those surveyed, it is between 500 and 1000 euros.

The travel experience is changing

The data doesn't lie: in recent years, 79% of travellers have implemented changes and innovations in their travel habits. And, with this, the offer of adventure activities is in a very sweet moment. Travel lovers now seek to make the most of their time with adrenaline-filled plans,
also following the recommendations and stories that the large Tropicfeel community shares on their social networks.

This new era is also accompanied by significant innovation in the materials used in travel clothing, with versatile options for different uses that take up less space and make it possible to live adventures more lightly and without checking in luggage. Thus, around 87% of the travellers surveyed travel with hand luggage
for stays of between one and two weeks.

To do this, they look for allies that provide them with enough space, comfort and great capacity to adapt to the specific needs of the getaway, such as the two favorite star backpacks from Tropicfeel: Shell and Shelter. Or the accessories, applauded and chosen by more than half of the community, that make it easier for them to organize their clothes in their suitcase, such as the wardrobe, the toiletry bag or the 'packing cube'.

The clothes and shoes chosen are key to the success of any trip. The survey indicates that for most travellers, the most sought-after shoes are also those with a more relaxed and versatile style, models that are light and easy to carry, such as the All-Terrain, the Sunset or the Canyon HDry.

When it comes to clothing, the travel community's must-haves include lightweight, comfortable and quick-drying clothing. Examples of this include the foldable ProTravelTM Rain Shell raincoat and small bags for carrying important documents. In this regard, the firm has accessories that make it easier to organize all the details, such as the FidLock® Pouch, which can also be easily attached to the brand's backpacks.

It seems that this summer's travel trends point to minimalism, innovation and quality, which have taken hold in the more adventurous community to ensure enjoyment all along the way.
