52% of all international flights between January and July this year were destined for the United States, Panama and Mexico.
The top 10 foreign countries with the highest number of flights are completed by Peru, Spain, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Brazil and Costa Rica.
The total number of chairs offered on the international market grew by 13.5% by July 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, from 1,061,000 last year to 1,205,088 today. The countries with the largest supply were the United States (more than 314,000), Panama (more than 171,000) and Spain (more than 111,000).
Additionally, the destinations where the supply of seats increased the most were Venezuela, which led with 107.2%, going from 8,517 in January-July 2023 to 17,646 in 2024. It was followed by El Salvador with 104% (from 10,152 in July 2023 to 20,708 in 2024) and Paraguay with 81% (from 2,268 in July 2023 to 4,104 this year).
Ranking by growth compared to 2019:
Among the international markets operating in July 2019, the notable growth in July 2024 stands out towards the Dominican Republic (more than 240%), Canada (more than 140%) and Puerto Rico (100%).
The next destinations with the highest growth in number of flights during the same period were Costa Rica (86%), Brazil (79%) and Aruba (77.4%). The top 10 was rounded off by Argentina (67%), France (58%), Chile (47%) and Guatemala (42%).
When comparing the connectivity of July 2024 with that of July 2019, the incorporation of "new" destinations or those that did not operate in 2019, such as Uruguay, Paraguay and Honduras, is observed.
