The main objective of the initiative is to share knowledge among participants in order to improve practices in the gastronomic industry, through lectures led by each of the invited chefs. An essential part of this event is the charity dinner that can be enjoyed for the Sonrisas Foundation, as well as a dinner prepared by these chefs, each with a special menu, creating a complete experience for everyone.
According to Randy Siles, culinary director of Enjoy Hotels, some of the topics that will be discussed at the congress are: zero-kilometer cuisine, waste and product maximization, sustainable fishing, food and fair trade, menus made with plants, preservation and appreciation of native products, protection of marine ecosystems,
“The charity dinner will feature a menu of Latin American cuisine, while the gala dinner will feature an eight-course menu,” said Siles.
The chefs invited to this second edition of the Congress come from different places, such as Spain, with Kisko García, Benito Gómez, Israel Ramos, and Ramsés González as their representatives; MitsuTaka Kawata will be from Japan, and Inés Páez, better known as Chef Tita, from the Dominican Republic, who has participated in Top Chef.
This activity focuses on working on sustainability in the gastronomic environment, which is why it is supported by Marca País as an Essential Costa Rica event.
As an initiative by the hotel to encourage the public to live this experience, those interested can ask about the special package for two people. This includes two nights' accommodation, breakfast, cocktail, gala dinner,
charity dinner and the resort fee.
If you would like to enjoy the lectures, you must purchase them separately, indicating that you wish to have this benefit. This package includes lunch for the day and two coffee breaks.
