Sabre Corporation, the software and technology leader powering the global travel industry, and Furlong-Fox, Argentina’s largest corporate travel agency, today announced a multi-year agreement for Sabre Direct Pay, Sabre’s virtual payments solution.

The agreement will allow Furlong-Fox to modernize its payment strategy by automating and simplifying vendor payments, enabling it to maximize revenue through Sabre Direct Pay. It will also enable the agency to reduce fraud risk, streamline currency conversion, as well as eliminate manual tasks associated with expense management and reconciliation.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with Sabre to enhance our B2B payments with Sabre Direct Pay. Their robust, single platform allows us to track our spend and automatically reconcile payments from multiple sources to generate automated reports when using virtual cards. All of our data is now fully integrated into our existing workflow,” said Gonzalo Martinez Angello, Chief Operating Officer at Furlong-Fox. “This automation will allow us to improve efficiency and streamline processes, with the added benefit of turning our payments into a new revenue stream through reimbursements.”

Sabre Direct Pay is a fully integrated multi-channel solution that enables agencies to select the combination of banks and financing solutions that delivers the most value to their business. Through an agnostic direct API or through Sabre's platforms, it provides broad reach to over 70 banking partners in over 90 countries, who can issue virtual cards in over 50 currencies, while being fully integrated with major card schemes globally. In Argentina, Sabre is the first company to offer this type of payment solution through Sabre Direct Pay in partnership with Banco Comafi.

“Furlong-Fox is a long-standing partner, and we are excited to now bring them the operational efficiency and security that Sabre Direct Pay offers. Automated reconciliation and data reporting will help streamline their B2B payment process as well as optimize their travel payments,” said Patricio Boccardo, Head of Sabre Direct Pay. “With our technology and team of experts we bring agencies and banks together, allowing them to turn their payments into a new revenue stream by using a virtual card to make a payment,” added Boccardo.

Sabre Direct Pay is designed for leisure travel agencies, OTAs, TMCs and organizations with the need to pay their suppliers and reduce operational costs, transforming their payments into profits.

Headquartered in Buenos Aires, Furlong-Fox is the union of Furlong World Travel Service and Fox Tour. The two companies merged in 2002, giving rise to Furlong-Fox, and became the largest corporate agency in Argentina. In 2019, Furlong-Fox joined FCM's global network of travel agencies, and today is FCM's representative in Argentina in the management of multinational accounts.
