Associate Volunteer Programs: Costa Rica Marriott Hacienda Belén is committed to the community and each associate volunteers a minimum of 10 hours of paid time at different non-profit organizations throughout the year.
Food Bank of Costa Rica: The hotel makes a donation of US$5 per night booked with the Tucan Pac Package. The hotel has supported more than 33,000 people and 61 non-profit organizations with this initiative since its inception in 2020.
Roblealto: The Roblealto Association is a non-profit organization that provides support to children in socially at-risk conditions. Volunteer work includes making improvements to homes, donating school supplies, providing financial support for hiring an English teacher for the children, and hosting Christmas parties.
Partnership with the Sports and Culture Committee: volunteer project in collaboration with the Belén Sports and Culture Committee with the aim of promoting the physical well-being of children and hotel members.
Separation of plastic caps: another of the volunteer programs is the separation of plastic caps by color, which are collected as part of the program A Coffee for the Environment. The program encourages the collection of
plastic caps by exchanging 30 caps for 1 complimentary coffee at Casa de Café, and both hotel associates and community residents participate. These plastic caps are recycled and used to create paths on the beaches to make them accessible to people with disabilities.
