September arrives in Quito with the month of tourism and various activities to present the best of the tourist offer of the 'most beautiful city in the world', which includes two major events such as the 53rd International Eucharistic Congress and the Travel Mart Latin America (TMLA) fair.
The Eucharistic Congress, the largest Catholic event of the year, will take place from the 8th to the 15th of this month, while the TMLA will bring together representatives of the tourism industry, especially from Quito and Ecuador, with the tourism conglomerate between September 18th and 20th international operators, interested in promoting the Latin American destination.
The main venue for these two events will be the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center (CCMQ), in the northern part of the city.
The Eucharistic Congress, under the motto 'Fraternity to heal the world', will be a meeting between representatives of the Catholic Church from all over the world. This event returns to Latin America after 20 years, when Guadalajara hosted it in 2004.
The Eucharistic Congress will open its doors to parishioners and visitors to the capital in three masses (Sunday, the 8th, Thursday, the 12th, Sunday, the 15th) and a procession (Saturday, the 14th).
On the other hand, TMLA is recognized as the most important tourism business meeting for Latin America in global markets and in which Quito will be able to position itself as a tourist destination, showcasing its culture, attractions and gastronomy.
In addition, Quito enthusiastically celebrates Tourism Month as a special time to explore, discover and enjoy the capital of Ecuador in all its splendor.
For this reason, Quito Tourismo constantly promotes and publicizes Quito's tourism offering, with its rich cultural heritage, impressive architecture, vibrant urban life and unique rural experiences.
Thus, several tourist experiences are scheduled for this month, including Saturday tours to discover the flora and fauna of Yunguilla (September 7); Quito Patrimonial (September 14); San Marcos: patrimonial and cultural (September 21); and the Amagusa – Tulipe rural experience (September 28).
In these experiences, participants will be able to interact and learn about the production of handicrafts, gastronomic products, traditional ceremonies, tastings, as well as enjoy walks in places connected to nature.
Likewise, this month the municipal public company presents the activation 'Manos a La Ronda', with traditional games such as table football, frogs, spinning tops, among others, that adults and children can enjoy in this traditional neighborhood in the city center.
And not only that, Quito has a wide range of tourist attractions for all tastes with activities linked to history, heritage, music, art, culture, adventure and much more.
The options range from the Historic Center, the largest and best preserved in Latin America; through the entertainment options of modern Quito; to the activities presented by the 33 rural parishes of the Metropolitan District.
